What a place! Such a privilege to attend the opening of The End of the Golden Weather at the @courttheatrenz's new home back in the heart of Christchurch 🥰 As a friend said, walking into the theatre is "like walking into a hug" and she's not wrong 💃🏼 With audience seating set on three levels, in quite a compact, steep space, it very much reminded me of London's @the_globe 🩷 The play itself, well, here's what Backstage Christchurch reviewer, @belinda_bodley_reid had to say: "The End of the Golden Weather combined the best of New Zealand storytelling with the best of New Zealand acting, with a wealth of New Zealand creative talent in the newest of New Zealand purpose-built theatres. Last elope of the season today 💘 And I love that it ended with our gorgeous Picnic Elopement Package crew. I utterly adore working with @unic_picnic @cateredaffairnz @bykirsten.weddings + @rosemountweddings. Four women I'm so honoured to work alongside to create these beautiful memories for any two people in love - and their favourite few. Love you ladies xo

Marlon Williams's documentary Nga Ao E Rua, Two Wo

Marlon Williams's documentary Nga Ao E Rua, Two Worlds takes you backstage into his life as he travels the world, telling the story of how he produced his first te reo Maori album - along with the scores of people who were part of its journey.

Being at the premiere last night was so special, as so many of Marlon's childhood, music and life in general community were there, so the audience vibe was really quite electric. And, even if we don't know him personally, by the end of it we felt we did because his personality throughout the doco was so casual, fun and sincere making it feel like we were lifetime buds.

One of the many highights was when the ChCh Cathedral Choir surprised former member Marlon with "a beautiful arrangement of my wiata" leaving the singer quite lost for words and his eyes a little "dusty" just before the doco opened.

Ok, this is now turning into a review, which it's not 🙈🤦🏼‍♀️

So much FUN!! @andreazoephotography and I had an @elopeaway meeting last night while we painted with the ever-so-clever @genavieveamyesart and was poured some drinks by the lovely team at @suburban416kaiapoi. What a night!!

There are more of these Paint + Pour events coming up, so keep an eye out. I'm going to go again! So much blimmin talent in that room! (While I haven't picked up a paintbrush since primary school.... 🙈😅💃🏼

Forget today’s wild winds 🌬️💃 How good that our sunflower elopes brought in at least $2000 for some incredible Oxford charities as well as @gumbootfriday (@iamhope_nz) I say, “at least” because I know that our couples and their guests also gave more on the day of their elope, with further donations and purchasing sunflowers etc 🌻 What a pleasure it has been for @andreazoephotography and I from @elopeaway to bring in these extra dollars for the woman behind all of this - Kerry McCorry, so she can distribute these funds within the community where it’s most needed. We can’t wait to offer our elopement package again next year!! I have a goal in mind… let’s do this!!

It's here! 💙 The release of our first Banks Pen

It's here! 💙 The release of our first Banks Peninsula Elopement Package at the very cool @bigskynz in French Farm 💙🤍❤️

Together with @robin_andie_photos, we're excited for this new offering - and I know SO many of you are, too - because your messages about these packages has been awesome!

It includes venue hire, celebrant and photography. You can also upgrade:
- Big Sky has accommodation for up to 10 people, including two onsite yurts. (Each double bedroom has its own bathroom)
- onsite or local catering
- longer photography time
- videography

Big Sky Retreat is a peaceful space and the perfect getaway. From here you can enjoy all that the Banks Peninsula has on offer. It's just over an hour from Christchurch and 15 minutes from Akaroa.

The views from Big Sky through the day are vast and tranquil, but it is the night sky and the opportunity to stargaze that makes it really special.

It’s about time we had a beautifully rustic, country setting for our couples 🥰💘 Montana Woolshed in Oxford is our absolute favourite place for this kind of vibe. @andreazoephotography and I are so excited for you to elope to - the @montanawildflowermeadow (and woolshed 😉

Check out this little beauty – with that classic corrugated iron on the outside and beautiful wooden interior. And, if you choose to get married in summer – maybe, just maybe, there will be a whole meadow of Montana wildflowers next door ready for you to have some beautiful photos taken in.

Have you ever had that feeling of being so excited

Have you ever had that feeling of being so excited to share something that you delay it by weeks, trying to find the perfect moment to tell everyone?! 🩷 I've been so, SO very amped to share what I've been chipping away at in the background, adding a new skillset to my toolkit - which is literally going to benefit each and every one of you 💃🏼 but I've been so focussed on making our sunflowers package a national media hit, hitching couples during the height of wedding season, launching new elopement packages I just KNOW you'll all love (and all that stuff that goes on the background), that I still haven't shared my BIG NEWS!! And, no, I haven't become a Life Coach (perhaps to the disappointment of so many of you who have requested I become one 😅 What I've achieved is something so much more which is going to benefit every single couple I have the honour to hitch and each business I work with. Over the next week, I'll share a little more, and then I'll launch this little beauty on Friday 28 February! 🩷 Excited? I sure am!!

Rules to live by: 1️⃣ Never wear a dress at Sign of the Bellbird on a windy day (that's a story for another time...🤦🏼‍♀️) 2️⃣ Always say "Yes!" when your just-eloped couple invites you to have a shot of drambuie with them 3️⃣ Never try your first-ever sip of said shot when there's a photographer there to document each burning microsecond 🤦🏼‍♀️💃🏼 4️⃣ And make the most of moments like these 🩷 Looking back at this early December elopement makes me smile. None of us wanted to leave there happily chatting away on that brick wall, but S + K had guests to celebrate with. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness on your new overseas adventure. K🩷

(I've even had kitty cats 'paw the doc' !! Would be interested to hear from elopees who have other animals that might like to agree that their parents get married! 😅😂🤣🐎🐏🐢

What a week it’s been out at @southeyresunflower

What a week it’s been out at @southeyresunflowers - ending with a spur of the moment decision by @themikeking to fly down to ChCh to meet @kerry_ann_mccorry and @andreazoephotography - and I was so grateful to have been invited, too!🌻 Making the most of the opportunity, I had a chat with Mike about how @iamhope_nz helps our young people (we’ll share those videos a little later) and I snuck in a little briefing to him that Andrea and I at @elopeaway donate $500 to I AM HOPE for each sunflower elopement! There’s possibly still a couple of weeks of flowering left this month, so it’s not too late for you to get hitched down here too, but you could also get in early for next February 😉🌻
